Bill Seehafer has more than 30 years of experience representing employers in all aspects of employee benefits and labor relations matters, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses and employer associations.  His extensive employee benefits experience includes advising employers on the complexities of single employer and multiemployer benefits in both legal and business capacities, including mergers and acquisitions, plan design, and compliance.  Bill has also served as a trustee on numerous multiemployer plans, including retirement, health and welfare, legal and apprenticeship funds.  He also served for several years with a law firm that represented multiemployer retirement, health and welfare and apprenticeship plans.

More specifically, Mr. Seehafer has served as an employer appointed trustee on over 30 multiemployer benefit funds, represented over 20 multiemployer benefit plans as sole legal counsel, first chair negotiated over 100 sets of labor negotiations and advised on several hundred more, served as labor and benefits head for a Fortune 500 company, advised on over 50 merger and acquisition projects ranging from single facilities to multi-billion dollar corporate mergers, and worked with employer groups on multiemployer pension legislation as far back at 2006.

Mr. Seehafer advises clients on multiemployer benefit matters (including plan design, mergers and acquisitions and multiemployer pension withdrawal liability), represents clients in collective bargaining, and serves as a professional trustee on defined benefit pension plans, health and welfare plans, a variable annuity pension plan, and a legal fund. 

Mr. Seehafer earned his law degree from Mitchell Hamline College of Law (cum laude) in St. Paul, Minnesota, and his undergraduate degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
